Summary
ABTimer: ADHD Focus Timer is designed to work locally on your Mac. It does not require an account and does not send your task names, timer history, or usage data to a remote server. Your focus data belongs to you and stays on your device.
1. What ABTimer Stores
ABTimer stores the following information locally on your device:
- Task names you enter
- Timer duration and current timer state
- Simple daily session history and outcome counts
- Focus insights and A/B comparison data derived from your sessions
- Local preferences such as whether sounds are enabled or the app launches at login
This data is stored on-device using Apple-provided local storage APIs. It is never uploaded.
2. Data Collection
ABTimer does not intentionally collect personal data for analytics, advertising, profiling, or tracking.
ABTimer does not:
- Create user accounts
- Upload your task history to a server
- Include ads
- Use third-party analytics SDKs
- Track you across apps or websites
3. Notifications
If you enable notifications, ABTimer may show local macOS notifications when a timer ends. These notifications are generated on-device and are not transmitted anywhere.
4. Third Parties
ABTimer does not share your data with third parties as part of its normal operation. There are no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking frameworks embedded in the app.
5. Purchases
ABTimer is available as a free download with an optional ABTimer Pro auto-renewable yearly subscription. Purchase processing, billing, subscription management, and promo code redemption are handled by Apple through the App Store. ABTimer does not process payment details directly.
